Smoked Pepper-Coated Bacon, Brussels Sprouts, and Radicchio

A simple, nutritious dish made with only 5 ingredients. Full of smoky, peppery flavor and lightly sweetened with honey.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Pepper-Coated Bacon, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • 1 10 oz. package of frozen pearl onions, thawed
  • 3 C. thinly sliced Brussels sprouts
  • 1 small head Radicchio, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • Salt, to taste

    Directions

    Cook bacon pieces in a large pan over medium-high heat until crisp; remove bacon and drain on paper towel, reserving drippings in pan.

    Add pearl onions to pan; sauté 4 minutes or until beginning to brown.

    Add Brussels sprouts to pan; sauté 3 minutes or until beginning to brown.

    Stir in radicchio; sauté 2 minutes or until wilted and heated through.

    Remove from heat and drizzle with honey. Crumble reserved bacon and add to pan; stir well to combine.

    Season with salt, to taste.
